Formerly known as "Action for a Better Chicago"
Statement on name change: "We are pleased to announce that we are changing the name of this group to Action Chicago. We are making this change because we are not going to be formally affiliated with Action for a Better Tomorrow (ABT) going forward. The reason for not affiliating with ABT is that ABT has decided to become a 501(c)(4) organization and their charter prohibits the rating or endorsing of candidates for public office. We want to be able to rate and endorse candidates and help people run for office. We fully support the issue-oriented work ABT is doing and believe we can work together."
